Wedding in Windsor

By shahnaz

Wow…another early start today 7am and on the M25 heading to the lovely historic Windsor and the delightfull boutique style hotel in the town centre.

My bride looked amazing in her stunning gown and full length veil….her hair was embelished with pearls and jewels to echo the intricate detail of the gorgeous gown!

Pictures to follow.

Busy Summer Season

By shahnaz

Well it’s been a busy Summer with weddings every week (some cases 5 over one weekend! Oh and the Friday and Monday weddings…) I have been doing the miles around Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London and many other locations…..I’ve seen the most amazing dresses (I have to mention Abigail Mellor’s dress simply took my breath away!), met lovely bridesmaids and of course brides-to-be, visited the most unbelievable venues  from the opulently, extravagantly bold (Brocket Hall, Luton Hoo,)   to the elegant and expensive (Fanhams Hall) and the rustic & simple (Tewin Bury Farm) and low key locations too. I have shared in the happiness, joy and fun of all of my brides this season and have been made to feel very welcome! I have also wiped the tears from the eyes of many a bride and guest (not because I have jabbed them with a mascara wand) but because they have truly loved the end result and been made to feel every bit special on their big day ahhhhh

It’s been a wonderful summer and still more to look forward to this Autumn/Winter and there are plenty of weddings to come and no doubt more stunning dresses and venues to be seen! I shall keep you posted.

A few of my favourite things!!

By shahnaz

These are the essential beauty must haves that I carry in my make-up bag and will not leave home without!

Fist of all Dior Show Mascara, undoubtedly the best lengthening, voluminous and long lasting mascara on the market. Doesn’t smudge or turn gloopy.

Secondly I just cannot live without the  Mac Cremestick nude lip pencil in Creme O Spice it’s a perfect colour for most skin tones and on the days you don’t fancy a heavily made up look, just a hint of lip pencil with a lip balm can add that all important warmth!

I line my eyes with the Clinique Quick Eyes creme liner and for someone who wears contact lenses and has ultra sensitive eyes this liner it perfect! Doesn’t smudge (only if you want it to) or irritate the eyes and most importantly once applied you don’t need to re-apply in a hurry!! Very long lasting.

For kissable soft lips I use Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream it also great for dry skin patches on the hands and face!

And finally I use MAC Harmony Blush on my cheeks and I have been using this particular colour and brand for about……..11 years!! Of course now and again I change my blush but always come back to MAC…ahhhhhh.

The wonders of Mineral Foundation!

By shahnaz

Well what can I say but that I am truly sold on the idea of not having chemicals on my skin everyday. Mineral foundation and make up is so pure that you can actually sleep in it! (though this is no excuse to not follow a cleanse & tone routine!)

On my recent trip to a well known health spa I was offered the opportunity to have a “free make-over” using mineral make up and being the sceptic that I am, I thought there is no way the make-up artist will achieve full coverage on my skin…I was wrong it looked wonderful and since I have abandoned my usual liquid foundation in favour of Id Bare Minerals

starter-kit

I have been using Id Bare Minerals eyeshadows and blushers on my brides and they work well with liquid foundations too but over the weekend I used the complete kit on one bride -to-be and the results were WOW…watch the gallery space for images. The starter kit in the picture above is about £45 and includes all you need to get you glowing!!!
