We are excited about our new 6 Day Bridal Hair & Make up Course, everything you need to know about specialising in beautifying brides from the traditional to the contemporary. This course is suitable for existing make up artists, hairdressers and beauty therapists. However if you are a beginner then you must complete our Foundation Makeup Diploma first before moving on to this specialist course. Dates for Jan/Feb 2012 can be found on the website click here.
I am proud of my students from the past courses as they are now either working with me, booking their own make up jobs or have successfully obtained work within the beauty industry. Some of the recently qualified make up artists that work with me on a regular basis are; Chloe Hiskett – is based in Harpenden, Bina Tanna – is from South London and quite frequently travels across to St Albans/Herts to help out! There have also been some exciting developments with the Studio! It has had a much needed makeover and is now a chic and stylish boutique, functional yet comfortable and welcoming. Open to clients by appointment only Mon-Sun (no I don’t need a day off – days off are for wimps…lol)
The Make up Girl Studio website should go live this week very exciting. On offer there are make up lessons from day looks to full on glamour, DIY eyelash enhancements application, how to create a salon professional hairstyle in minutes as well as tips on how to dress for your body shape, size and how to put an outfit together for an occasion or day to day. We also offer Hen Party Makeovers, Make up Parties for Groups, these make great corporate events and special birthday parties (30th, 40th)

It’s been somewhat of a manic summer, between May-September there have been a massive 55 weddings that have taken place all those gorgeous brides that have been beautified along with their bridesmaids and mums! Grand venues have been visited around Herts, Beds, Bucks, London, and Essex. I have managed to avoid numerous traffic jams with my amazing organisational skills and always having a Plan B and C at hand.

We are pleased to announce the opening of our Make-up Studio on London Road- St Albans!
This week (11th – 17th April) Shahnaz is teaching a 1 Week Intensive Make -up Diploma designed specifically for those who wish to become fully qualified make up artists.
Week commencing 18th April 2hr slots are available for One-to-One Make-up /Styling lessons, these are designed for everyone and anyone who wants to understand make up application. Day and party make up is covered during this tutorial as well as eye lash application!
