So this morning at 7 am I set off to the gorgeous Hartwell House in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire to beautify the lovely bride Abbigail and her 3 bridesmaids and mum. Abbigail was the bridesmaid for her sister Kate who got married in 2011 in Hertfordshire and I had the pleasure of doing her hair and makeup too and today was Abbigail’s turn, so when I arrived at the venue this morning it was like no time had passed at all and it was lovely to see familiar faces again even the photographer Cris Matthews was from Kate’s wedding who had travelled from Yorkshire to photograph Abbigail’s wedding today.
Abbigail opted for a soft low hairstyle with barrel curls and her makeup was dewy, fresh and golden to compliment her gold/ivory accessories and beautiful boho style dress. The bridesmaids had ballerina buns and again soft, fresh makeup that complimented the brides look.

It’s been a busy Summer with plenty of weddings for us here at The Makeup Girl St Albans, myself and my team have beautified numerous
brides and their bridal parties including bridesmaids, flower girls and mums of the bride and groom. Despite the appalling weather in June/July our brides looked flawless and glamorous with our use of premium cosmetics and products that have stay put from early morning till late!
August Bank Holiday weekend was our busiest yet and we travelled throughout Hertfordshire, London, Bedfordshire, Essex and Bucks to
beautify brides and they looked amazing. It’s wonderful when it all comes together and our clients are happy with their hair and makeup. We have met some lovely brides and their families in the past few months who have looked after me, my assistants and of course my bump (I’m expecting a baby in Dec) with a steady supply of cold drinks and sweet goodies…yummy and of course helping us carry our heavy cases up and down gorgeous venues that don’t have lifts.
So it was an Amazing August and here’s to a Spectacular September as the season is not over yet. I temporarily hang up my brush kit at the end of October (to have my baby)for a few months but this doesn’t mean that I am not available to meet for a consultation or a chat to discuss your requirements as 2013 is already filling up fast. An early start this morning for TheMakeupGirl Team, we were at The Inn Woburn – Beds to beautify the lovely bride Sarah and her bridal party of 3 bridesmaids and mum-of-groom (MOG) The ceremony was taking place at the Abbey and then the reception at The Sculpture Gallery. A gorgeous, crisp, sunny day.
Sarah chose to wear her hair part up with loose curls. Her complexion was flawless, Sarah doesn’t usually wear any make up so didn’t want to look plastered on her wedding day! She wanted to look radiant and beautiful and still remain recognisable by here guests and most importantly by her groom (James)
Congratulations Sarah & James, we wish you a very happy future together as Mr & Mrs 🙂

I love my job, I love the variety of clients and projects I am asked to work with. No two weeks are the same. Last week as well beautifying my lovely brides, I was asked to make up 12 models for a video shoot in Islington, and the week before a lingerie and swimwear shoot with an up and coming designer Rae-Emily Smith for Artemis South. We are excited about our new 6 Day Bridal Hair & Make up Course, everything you need to know about specialising in beautifying brides from the traditional to the contemporary.
