Claire Brown got married at the perfectly styled countryside location of Coltsfoot Country Retreat Hertfordshire on the only warm sunny day over the Bank Holiday weekend in August! Claire wanted a hairtsyle with plenty of volume and drama as it’s the one time in a girls life when she can afford to have a dramatic hairstyle and something she wouldn’t be able to re-create herself. Here are a few pictures.
Natasha got married on the 24th July in Hemel, Hertfordshire and it was an absolute pleasure in helping Natasha create her dream hairstyle and make up look! The brief was to achieve a flawless finish using the minimum amount of base and eye make up my bride wanted to keep it natural but have enough impact to wow her guests and of course the groom. I’m happy that I helped in making Natasha’s wedding day even more memorable.
10th of July 2010 was the wedding of the lovely Stacy and Rob at the the wonderful venue of Notley Abbey. Here are just a few of the pictures more to come soon! The bride-to-be is still in her pj’s here (this is not how she got married) waiting to get into her dress.
Laura contacted me a couple of months ago and although it was short notice I was able to help Laura out and create her dream hairstyle and make up look for her wedding which took place in Waltham Abbey on a gloriously hot afternoon! As you can see from the pictures Laura selected a messy updo with curls and beautiful pearls set within some of the curls, we also used very pretty silk roses that set the hairstyle off beautifully giving the bride a wonderfully fresh, stylish and contemporary bridal updo!
This weekend was yet another busy one and I can now say that the wedding season has started and I love it! All my happy brides, bridesmaids and mums. It’s wonderful to be part of the preparations on the special day and it’s a huge compliment when I and my assistant can help make the atmosphere and bring a sense of fun, calm and control to a chaotic time.
My trips this weekend took me to Welwyn for 7am on Saturday morning where my 2 brides were getting ready for their ceremony to take place pretty early in the morning!! After this it was off to Bedfordshire and Biggleswade then back to London Colney and finally a client in St Albans…phew yes a busy Saturday.
Sunday was long day in London and I’m not a huge fan of driving in the capital but Sundays aren’t too bad as parking is less restricted my brides to be were very pleased with their results and I’m hoping to get some fresh pictures up soon.
Finally, it’s always a huge sense of joy and signals the end of another busy day, when I can finally tap in home in the car sat nav system……get me home double quick!

I recently met Mikaela Morgan at a wedding at the Gatsby Berkamsted where she captured the mood, atmosphere and colour of this wedding I was really impressed at how she managed to take such wonderful images without us noticing as some photographers can get under your feet as the bridal party are getting ready! I love my job! Because although I’m happily married and have a daughter I still get the chance to occasionally wear a tiara and wedding accessories….don’t think this is strange it’s perfectly normal for girls who love sparkle and diamonds…(I must have been a magpie in a former life!) I just can’t resist trying out the products before I recommend them to my brides…..(don’t worry I don’t do my weekly food shop in one, I just prepare breakfast and take my daughter to nursery in a diamante encrusted tiara)
If you’re struggling finding the right accessories on a budget the check out this website their products are fab and a fraction of what some companies are charging!
